Two died in Police Fire at Mograhat

Two were killed in Police fire while there was a clash between the residents and the engineers of the state power supply as they were omitting the illegal power stealing. The incident happened at Nainan Mallickpara near Mograhat Thana.
The engineers were crocking down on the electricity theft when the resident of Mallickpara protested and started throwing stones on them.SDPO Dinondhoravour Jai Tudu and six other police constables and a worker of Power supply injured.To prevent police started return fire which killed a 14-year-old girl Regina Khatun and a woman Saheba Bibi(30).
Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said yesterday that they find out if the police had fired at villagers, adding that the force should have “exercised restraint”.She told Star Ananda “Action will be taken against those responsible for the incident on the basis of the probe. We will ascertain whether there were any excesses by the police or the power distribution company,”
