MSD says top 3 will weaken fielding

India team Captain M.S Dhoni remained non-committal about playing India’s top three batsman that is Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag & Gautam Gambhir together. Dhoni said that it’s difficult to win 50-over games with individual performances. There must be contributions from most of the players.
Dhoni also differed on what India’s best 11 actually are. He wanted to say that if we look at the players who have scored runs in the tournament it would be difficult to feature all of them in the Indian 11 side.
Dhoni indicating that playing both Sehwag & Tendulkar weakens the fielding. He also told that in order to be in the team we need to field well because there are such close games & they can’t afford to score 20 more runs just because of the poor fielding on the big out fields.
Playing all three may happen, but it will also affect their fielding in a big way. This means, there will also be more pressure on the batsman to score those extra 20 runs. If the middle-order doesn’t perform well then they will have to go with the experienced guys up the order.
Most of the batsmen should have to get runs or the bowlers need to excel then only they can win. Manoj Tiwary is not well so they had to send him back to the hotel. He also pointed out that they don’t want to take decisions in panic.
